About Us
Passion fosters a zest to learn, explore, improvise and refine, ultimately paving the way to excellence. Gardening has been a cherished pursuit since my childhood, offering profound relaxation and fulfillment. However, amid the erratic supply of fresh vegetables during the Covid-19 lockdown, I redirected my expertise towards cultivating edible greens at home within limited space, all without resorting to fertilizers or pesticides.
This experience illuminated the significance of gardening beyond a mere hobby; it’s a vital life skill that warrants passing on to the next generation. Beyond fostering self-reliance, self-sufficiency, and confidence, it nurtures a healthy mind and body.
Starting small also holds significance. Every time we consume what we’ve grown, we ensure pesticide-free, fertilizer-free, non-GMO, fresh, healthy and truly organic food. Moreover, this practice reduces our carbon footprint, curbing wastage, and minimizing adverse impacts on the environment caused by the food processing, packaging, and transportation industries.
Every little counts and every effort, no matter how small, contributes meaningfully. Collectively, these actions will significantly impact our planet and aid in preserving resources for generations to come.
Engaging with inquisitive and enthusiastic minds brings me immense joy. Green Thumb has provided me the platform to leverage my knowledge, teaching experience and passion to follow what my heartfelt believes. I’ve had the privilege of sharing gardening experience with a diverse group, ranging from five-year-olds to individuals over eighty and transcending ethnicities. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with you soon!
